How NICEGENE collects, uses, stores, and discloses your Personal Data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023.

NICEGENE Technology Solutions Limited ("NICEGENE," "the Company," "we," or "us") is committed to safeguarding your privacy and protecting your Personal Data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose Personal Data in the course of providing our IT consulting, cloud, development, training, and hardware sales services (our "Services"), and the measures we take to keep your Personal Data confidential and secure.

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our Website, our Academy platforms, and other channels related to our Services. By accessing our Website or using our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Data as described here.   • Client: Any company, organisation, school, or individual that engages NICEGENE for its Services.
  • Company / NICEGENE / we / us / our: NICEGENE Technology Solutions Limited.
  • Country: The Federal Republic of Nigeria, where NICEGENE is incorporated and primarily operates.
  • Data Controller: An entity that, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of Processing Personal Data.
  • Data Protection Laws: The Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA), the Nigeria Data Protection Act General Application and Implementation Directive, 2025 (GAID), and any other applicable data protection laws in the Country.
  • NDPC: The Nigeria Data Protection Commission, the regulatory body overseeing data protection compliance in the Country.
  • Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
  • Processing / Process / Processed: Any operation performed on Personal Data, including collection, storage, use, disclosure, and erasure.
  • Services: The IT consulting, cloud, development, networking, digitization, training, and hardware sales services provided by NICEGENE.
  • Website: www.nicegeneco.com.ng and its subdomains.
  • You: The individual or entity whose Personal Data may be collected or Processed by us.

We collect Personal Data when you interact with us — for example, when you complete an inquiry or contact form, request our Services, purchase a gadget, enroll in NICEGENE Academy, subscribe to our communications, or apply for a role with us. This may include:

  • Identity Data: full name, and where relevant to Service delivery, government-issued identification and date of birth.
  • Contact Data: residential or office address, email address, and telephone number.
  • Billing and Financial Data: billing address and payment details for products, training, and services purchased.
  • Service and Project Data: information you provide to enable us to design, build, or support a system, application, or network on your behalf.
  • Academy Data: enrolment details, attendance, and assessment results for NICEGENE Academy and Tech Insight Series participants.
  • Application Data: CVs, cover letters, and related information submitted for career opportunities.
  • Usage Data: information collected automatically when you use our Website, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited (see our Cookie Policy for details).

5.HowWeCollectYourPersonalData

We collect Personal Data directly from you when you:

  • Use any of our Services or purchase our products.
  • Enrol in NICEGENE Academy or register for an event such as the Tech Insight Series.
  • Fill out our online forms or contact our team.
  • Use our Website.
  • Apply for a job with us.

  • Consent: Where you agree to our collecting your Personal Data for a specific purpose.
  • Contractual Obligation: Where Processing is necessary for us to deliver Services you have requested.

8.DoWeShareYourPersonalDataWithThirdParties?

We engage trusted third-party providers to support Service delivery, including cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (such as Amazon Web Services), collaboration and communication tools (such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Teams), and our virtual training platform (Vidline). We may also share anonymized or aggregated Usage Data with analytics partners to help us understand and improve Website performance.

We may also disclose your Personal Data where necessary to comply with applicable laws or lawful requests from regulators or law enforcement, to protect the rights, property, or safety of NICEGENE or others, or to detect and prevent fraud. All third parties with whom we share your Personal Data are required to Process it in accordance with applicable Data Protection Laws and only for the purposes we specify.

9.InternationalDataTransfers

Some of our third-party infrastructure providers, including AWS, may store or process data on servers located outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers are conducted in accordance with the Data Protection Laws, including through providers with appropriate safeguards in place.

10.IsYourInformationSecure?

We apply appropriate technical, organisational, and security measures to protect your Personal Data, including access controls, secure cloud configurations, and staff confidentiality obligations. While we take security seriously, no system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we encourage you to use strong, unique credentials when accessing any NICEGENE platform.

11.HowLongDoWeKeepYourInformation?

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to provide our Services and fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by applicable law. When we no longer need your information, we securely delete or anonymise it.

Subject to applicable Data Protection Laws, you have the right to:

13.AutomatedDecision-MakingandProfiling

We do not currently carry out Automated Decision-Making or Profiling with your Personal Data. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy, obtain any required consent, and Process your Personal Data in compliance with the Data Protection Laws.

14.UseofArtificialIntelligence

We may use artificial intelligence tools internally to support service delivery, such as improving system performance or drafting internal documentation. Where AI tools are used in a way that involves your Personal Data, we ensure this is done in accordance with the Data Protection Laws and this Privacy Policy.

15.Children'sPrivacy

Our Services, including NICEGENE Academy, are generally intended for adults and institutions. Where we support school platforms that include data relating to minors (such as student records for a client school), such data is Processed strictly on the instructions of, and under agreement with, the relevant school as Data Controller, and in accordance with applicable Data Protection Laws.
